I am a ceramicist who is inspired by the layers and textures of the natural landscape. Impressing flora and fauna found in my garden and on walks in the natural landscape, I try to preserve the natural beauty of these objects by impressing them into white earthenware. I enjoy creating slab-built forms that display the simple beauty of these impressed forms. The textures created are enhanced by using oxides and stains to highlight the surfaces and add delicate colours.
